Tosca - a melodrama in three acts by Giacomo Puccini.

Working on Tosca was a great introduction into the job. I assisted the costume designer Klaus Bruns who created an incredible image of the characters set in the 1950s noir film.

The production taught me a lot. I learned about the mechanisms of singing, how the costumes support or prohibit singers from successfully hitting high, low, or long notes.

In this show I worked along with some ensemble members of the house - Buehnen Bern and international guests.

It was an unforgetable way to gain an insight into the processes behind the opera. The theatre has a childrens choir where I could connect my PGCE degree to my current job as costume assistant. I look forward to more productions working with this team and more!
